Pediatrics and Neonatology


Functions as three units including neonatology.
24 hr paediatric casuality, 60 bedded ward. 24 hr duty paediatrician.
Well equipped PICU(paediatric) and NICU(neonatal).
NICU is equipped with warmers, phototherapy, infusion pumps, syringe pumps, pulse oxymeter ventillator and CTAP.
Department is run by 2 professors, 2 assistant professors, 2 senior residents and 5 tutors, aggregated under 2 units.
Department is well equipped academically with lecture halls, seminar halls and department library.
Other academic events conducted include CMEs, IAP Paediatric Quiz.
O.P Timing
Monday, Wednesday, Friday – P1 Unit
Tuesday, Thursda, Saturday – P2 Unit
Wednesday – Immunisation* and new born follow up.
*Immunisation clinic is equipped with Ice Lined Refrigerator and other facilities for vaccine storage
