The department aims to build a healthier community by integrating evidence-based public health practices, continuous field engagement, and dynamic medical education. Our mission includes:

  • Empowering students with core competencies in public health and preventive medicine
  • Conducting impactful research addressing local and national health priorities
  • Collaborating with government and NGOs to support community health initiatives

🏥 Training & Outreach Facilities

  • Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC) & Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC)
  • School health programs, immunization drives, nutritional assessment, and IEC campaigns
  • Extensive field posting for students with community-based learning
  • Active surveillance, outbreak investigation, and disease prevention initiatives

The department is actively engaged in undergraduate teaching, training of interns, and supporting postgraduate students from multiple disciplines. Our faculty are involved in:
